It's hard to believe I've been here for two birthdays, already. At least this one ought to be quieter....
[As opposed to the one where she, you know, died. Those who were there for that can guess the reason for the relief in her voice.]I think I'll investigate the battle dome sometime this afternoon. Who has tried it? I'm interested to hear about

Terra! Hello! [Jogging over, Zelda gives her a beam.] I heard it was your birthday today!

Hello, Zelda! And yes, that's right. What do you think of this, so far? What you tried it out?

Yes, I would like that! Please, show me.

[Hurry up or you'll be late, Terra. One of the compartments now looks like a cave, and they're equipped with swords, shields - and boomerangs.]

It's amazing, what this place can do....

Right! [she finally says, holding her boomerang aloft.] Do you hear that flapping noise? Those are keese. You should move slowly so they don't hear you and start swooping - look for a patch on the wall that's a bit darker tha moves and bit!
[She's not admitting it, but she's a little wary - being accurate with a bow is one thing, but she's never actually used a boomerang.]

Alright, I'll remember that. I'll let you take the lead, since you're familiar with this place.

...There, [she whispers, pointing with the boomerang.] ...Have your sword ready in case I miss!
[EAT BOOMERANG, KEESE.]
[...Or rather, be started into full alertness as the boomerang goes an inch too wide, sending it shrieking and squeaking towards them.]

Look out! [Zelda yelps, swinging her sword hard - the flat of it smacks one in its keese-y face and it drops like a stone.]

[Terra lunges out with her sword when they're close enough. She endures a few scratches, but her aim is accurate and her arm swift. The immediate bats are dealt blows strong enough to drive them back, if not kill them.]

...Well! [Zelda finally says, smoothing down a tangle where a wingtip had caught her hair,] That wasn't too bad!

No, not at all. Shall we move onward, then?
[She keeps her sword unsheathed, just in case there's trouble nearby that can be dispatched quickly.]

[You know, Zelda is sure she's forgotten something. There's those horrid creatures in the pots up ahead, she does remember that, but she's sure there's something else... it's a burning question.]
[Up ahead, there are more flapping sounds. More keese, she notes grimly, nodding across at Terra.] Get ready...
[And round the corner they come.]
[On fire.]
Fire keese! [she yelps, and starts hurling the boomerang for all she's worth.]
