Apparently livejournal is cracking down on "gay content" (because of Russian policies on the matter). People have been blocked from accessing the site, posting, etc. They're using IPs for identification so that - as far as I understand - nothing can be done from an IP adress that is being "investigated". Some writers are using dreamwidth or AO3 as a backup site.
I heard about this from tumblr. Thought some of you might want to know.
