It's been awhile!
So it's been awhile since I've last posted. I really haven't been up to much, just been playing MTG and Heroclix, preparing for the World Heroclix event, which I plan to be playing at my first visit to GenCon this year. Some friends of mine are going along too and some of them play Heroclix as well, so we've been playtesting teams in hopes of finding the best one for the event.
Also, we went and saw a preshowing of Stardust tonight, which is a movie adaption of a Neil Gaiman novel. The movie was actually really good, which isn't surprising given that Gaiman is a great writer, but it is surprising given how little advertising we've seen for the movie, especially with big named actors like Robert DiNiro, Michelle Pfieffer, and Claire Danes. Really a nice little movie though - it reminded me a lot of the Princess Bride. I definately recommend it for anyone who wants a change of pace for that bright happy 80's fantasy movie feel as opposed to a lot of the deep dark fantasy we get these days.
