The Japanese Prime Minister has called for the UN to create a "Thunderbirds" style international rescue organisation.

For those who don't know, Thunderbirds is a puppet show from the Sixties that revolved around a play of billionaire astronauts creating an organisation to help people around the world with custom-built giant vehicles of various sorts.
