Back to Work
After the holidays, it's really hard to wake up early. I want to start the year right although I am not really psyched up to review some reports and write-ups in the office. Christmas season isn't relaxing here unlike in Cali where your time is really for your family and yourself.
Dep and I attended the wedding of my cousin Cathy on January 2, 2009. First event for the year. Then, the following day, January 3, both Dep and I were principal sponsors of the wedding of Barreto-Mercado. The groom is the son of our townmate and friend while the bride happens to be the former Manager of Yann. That was not known to us during the wedding. I left a note with Manu and Jenie requesting them to keep in touch with us.
Yesterday, feast of the Three Kings, Rachelle and Benise Huang visited us together with parents Billy and Bella Huang. They gave us the last gift for Christmas 2008, a basketful of goodies. Billy and Bella are very good friends. They even hosted us in a Taiwan vacation in 2006. We were introduced to some Taiwan dignitaries and I even celebrated my 51st birthday there. How I love to go back to Taiwan!
Yesterday, we tried to consume the holiday leftovers. Got to nuke the food from the fridge. Ayie helped me clear the food containers. We are going to the supermarket now for the new stocks. The boys all gained weight. I was not excluded from the heavy gainers... but still fashionable..LOL
