(no subject)
Nothing special to report this week. No crazy adventures to regale you with. Although next week Jess and Amy finally arrive! Just in time for......finals. Yey! (screwed) YEY! Too bad though - Cherry Blossoms are gone (on a related note Jess informs me that I'm a killjoy). But since its the run up to finals everyone is getting serious and nothing is going on. You might expect these posts to get a bit boring and random for the next fortnight. It was a pretty restrained week - that said there were some equally restrained family cars:

Figured these would be up your alley Johnny (do we know anyone who HAS 3rd Strike?). Of course here things have different names......in English...for some reason. Capcom v SNK is called Millionaire Fighting....no joke. But what astounds me is that often the names are actually cooler - Resident Evil is Biohazard, and Toyotas/Lexus (Lexuses? Lexi?) have cool names like athlete, harrier, crown, corona and soarer in opposed to non-sense and numbers.
My brain also reached into its primeval past to remember how to play Samurai Showdown. But this was a newer version that did NOT, as I had hoped, buck the trend of getting my ass handed to me here.
And of course people in costumes in.....class:

Subway gates that look suspiciously like NERV headquarters:
Sardine can subway rides:
and 4 dollar tiny jars of peanut butter (digital prices! awesome):
also beautiful tropical beaches! on posters..... while its cold and raining:
But of course whenever I want to meet w/ people - as usual - Roppongi-dori ho:
Which contains the best malls ever:
and Kanyo - (and I'm sorry keep harping on this) which has about the best meat ever:
Bars in the middle of $%&# nowhere: (hooray for not needing flash)
and names for things that amount to jokes unto themselves:
