So its Monday. I squared all that Shibuya office business and put in for some business cards (they are absolutely essential to the corporate culture here). All in all a good day. So I return home again, and reiterate once more - I never tired of that:
Sunday however.......
After that post I tried yet again in my quest to evil downtown:
These pictures are recycled, but hey - I got a late start after writing that last post. Anyway - on to dead ancient baby furry elephant! Finally at long last! I saw it. "What did you do today Ryan" - "oh, nothing, just went to downtown Tokyo and saw a baby wooly mammoth". No pictures were allowed, so my apologies for that. It wasn't in the block of ice I envisioned - they borrowed some kind of hyperbolic chamber from Walt Disney. It was (and I'm not joking) blue lit behind thick glass in an iron container with those big theatric rivets all around the window. It was a little sad, so I won't go into too much detail, suffice to say it looked more like an archeological artifact than animal (suprise suprise - a couple million years will do that).
Anyway - from there we returned to Shibuya. Thats kind of a rough transition - So I'll ease it with some "wtf!?"
Anyway, I managed to herd a Californian, an Aussie, and a Taiwanese for some more ARCADES IN SHIBUYA. Johnny avert your eyes - this is going to hurt. We played some Gundam arcade games.
Oh no, not that one, the big strategic multiplayer one:
NO - not that one either. I'm sorry - what I should have said was the - MULTIPLAYER FULL SIMULATOR ONE:
(warning - nerdiness) You have a career card you keep with which you buy upgrades and new mobile suits - you start with RGM-79G GMs and wail on some Zaku IIs. Sweet. (/Nerdiness) This place is pretty much D/Johnny fantasy-town. But now monday and back to work and delicious Unagi-don. I have a great picture - but I'll at least spare you that. I BADLY wish you guys were here (You could field a decent team for the game for starters).
