I've decided that I'm going to include Life and Death in my NaNo. They're Abstracts, though, older than the gods. There are other Abstracts, but those two quite literally play an important role. See, I wrote this poem back in high school that had the image of life as a game board and there were unseen people playing this game board. I've always liked that idea, so Life and Death are going to be playing a game throughout the story. Life doesn't want Death to take lives because that means Death is winning their little game. Jonathan, my Ancient Mariner, was granted immortal life by Life and Kerri is Death's ace up the sleeve, if you will. Carson, my power-hungry mage, will probably also be one of Death's pieces on the game board.
I've wanted to write a story with the Abstract idea for some time now, but it was kind of like when you were a kid and you had a loose tooth and you just sort of worried it with your tongue. I kept worrying this idea with my head, but it didn't present itself to me until this summer.
Is November here yet?
