Things go on.

I'm really liking my job at New York & Company. I finally went on my first spending spree on Saturday. I spent less than $200 but saved over $400. It's a little difficult to negotiate between the three managers as they each have their own degree of strictness, but I like all three of them. This job is SO MUCH BETTER than Blockbuster. Mostly because my coworkers don't make fun of me, I can relate to and help the customers, and there's always something to do. Noblesville is a little far away, but at this point I almost don't want to be transferred. Maybe Carmel. But not Castleton. Oh well, we'll see.

I finally got a Chase account. I'm not closing my Centra one just yet. I think I'll use it to save up money for Courtney's and my grand adventure in July since the rates are pretty good. The inconvenience of not having a bank account accessible here just became too much.

Blake's applying at the Butler bookstore, Borders, Barnes & Noble, and AMC. Hopefully he picks something up soon. He's all moved in to his new place, though his landlord seems to be slow on the uptake. I think the guy just now realized Blake's living there, even though Blake's been calling him for a week or so now. We'll see now long it takes him to understand the leasing situation. It's a fun house with fun people, though it does have a cat that is putting Blake's sinuses in a bad place. Well, they're in his face, but you know... Blake and I also have successfully re-watched Firefly, which was an exercise in nerdery that was much needed.

Speaking of animals, I finally met Nick's new buddy, Mitch. He's a guinea pig that is black with some white places on him. He's still fairly scared of everything, probably because we tend to be pretty loud people. He'll get used to it, hopefully. He's a cute dude. I tried to help by impressing upon him the fortune of his situation: if he were living in his country of origin, he'd be eaten.

Blake and I will be heading to the residence of Tod'drea for some quality laundry and BSG time. Neither Blake nor I have cable, and my landlord has yet to give me the washer and dryer he promised. Plus the time I spent with them on Sunday was less than desirable, considering I was puking all evening. Hopefully this summer holds lots of Ca'ke and Tod'drea time.

And finally, I just ordered a cable and internet package. It shall be installed on June 3, and I shall be happy. Until then, it's trips to campus and mooching off Cornelius Multi-Pass "This LAN" (hahaha).

tod'drea, money, ny&c, blake, friends
