A love story and a funny story.

8 months...2/3 of a year ago, I really didn't know what Blake and I were headed for. Turns out we were headed for greatness. He's so much better at the flowery language of it all, but I promise I feel the same way. He's really become my rock. I feel so much more pulled together now, and he's a huge part of that. I've never had to put so little work into something that gave such high yield. See? Totally un-romantic, but it really means a lot to me to be able to say that, considering it's been what I've wanted since, oh, middle school. I don't know how to say this, really, except to say that he's all I ever wanted.

Earlier tonight, I was just sitting around watching Style, as usual. Then I heard this rapid percussive sound that reminded me startlingly of a machine gun. Just as I was starting to think, "Those damn boys," Courtney darted out of the bathroom squealing, "I DON'T KNOW WHAT JUST HAPPENED!" The sound was pretty much coming from the toilet. Considering all the trouble we've been having with our toilet, we both pretty much expected it to explode. After we decided that wasn't going to happen, Courtney started checking all the faucets. We had very brown water for a little bit and not too much pressure. She went down to Pat's to brush her teeth while I made various calls. All said and done, the maintenance man couldn't tell that anything was really wrong. We have pressure back with clear, hot water. So what we had was a non-damaging, somewhat frightening, bonding experience. Sweet.
