Visiting Florida!

[EDIT: the new American Opportunity Tax Credit requires you to file for the year you undertook that education, and does not have to do with graduation status inherently. I hope I haven't confused anyone. The point is, if you are interested, you need to read the fine print. It counts for four years of education, but I don't know if you can claim it for a year other than the current one. So, if you graduated and are interested, you'd have to claim it for 2009.]

I am coming back to visit twice this semester! I am so damn cold here. I think it may snow tonight? I've been flipping out. I went to the store last night and bought enough rations to last the weekend.

I've been wearing more clothing than anyone else here. I usually wear one pair of stockings, one pair of leggings, pants, boots, a short-sleeve knit shirt, two sweaters (one thin and one thick), a pea coat, gloves, a scarf, and sometimes a hat.

I will be in town March 5-7 and for graduation. Hooray!

PS - everyone who just graduated should be sure to look up the new tax credits for education. I think you can get up to $1000 refund if you do it. I'm not sure if you can get it if you qualify as a dependent, but everyone should at least look into it. There are lots of technical ways to get around it. If you didn't do an ISP, you will have only been in school 4 months out of the year, and you have to been in school 5 months to be qualified as a dependent.

I miss everyone, and did I say it's cold here?
