I went to church last night at the Duke Chapel.
At the Christmas service, they had a selection of lessons that laid the foundation for the coming of Jesus. The first one was about man's sin in the garden of Eden.
So, they chose Genesis 3:8-15, 17-19
If you notice, they conveniently left out Genesis 3:16.
Which is:
"Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee."
A very interesting omission.
Otherwise, it was a beautiful service. It was a service of "Lessons and Carols". There was neither a sermon nor the communion rite. It was great.
Merry Christmas and I miss you all! I am jealous of those in Florida. It is 45 degrees here.
