And yes yes, there are a bunch of interviews like that, when Joe and Nick are just off in their own little world being Joe&Nick and Kevin's just shaking his head or rolling his eyes. Always fondly, but... Joe&Nick are very much a unit, you know? They love Kevin, and Kevin loves them, but it's not the same. Watch this, starting around 2:21 to about 3:36:

Kevin rolling his eyes and actually saying "Here we go again" while Nick and Joe just descend into further and further ridiculousness and GOD. They are so adorable!

Joe has to be touching Nick ALL THE TIME. You can almost see it--he hits this "I haven't touched Nick in nearly three minutes!" and trots over and hugs him or pokes him or wrestles with him or whatever even. There's this one vid where Joe and Kevin are going out for a few hours and Nick has to stay back and do schoolwork, and Joe hugs him and tells him I love you TWICE and that he'll bring him back something nice and it's this whole THING, even though he's only leaving for the afternoon. It never fails to melt me into a pile of goo.

Ha! I think what kills me about that bit is that Joe is actually forming a physical barrier between the two of them and Kevin. His arm is up and he's totally twisted away. If I were Kevin, I would go hang by the other window, too (I'd feel bad for Kevin, but he actually appears to have a fairly normal brotherly relationship with them, judging by the brothers that I've known, which includes a set of three living in the same house as me, so... not so much with the feeling bad).

*nodding* I think Kevin is pretty happy with his role in the family. He's like, the functional one :-) He loves his brothers, and they love him, but he doesn't, like, need them like oxygen, and he's okay with that. The fandom kind fetishizes him being left out... there's this whole bizarre "KEVIN: IGNORED!" thing everyone squees about which creeps me out, but I don't really think that's the case. They just treat him like a normal brother, and he treats them the same way. Whereas Nick and Joe are a whole different animal.

I will find the video! I think it's one of the Living the Dreams, but I can't access youtube from work...
