Engagement Magic...

Okay, there should probably be a comma between those two words. Things continue- Debbie and I are both excited about the wedding- we may possibly be planning things too soon, but better early than late, right? The guest list filled up when I wasn't looking- we were shooting for 125 people total, and suddenly Debbie had 84 people on there, who were just immediate family! I'll try to make room for a few more guests, but it may come down to either expanding the guest list, or making unpleasant cuts...

As for the magic, performed my first trick in years on Sunday, for my future in-laws. No, it wasn't a big illusion. It was, however, potentially more mindblowing. (They seemed to like it, at least, and Criss Angel was mentioned after I performed it, so I'll take that as a compliment.) I told them I'd been working on my psychokinesis, in case we went with that magic-themed wedding we were joking about, so I'd be able to levitate the ring. Since it's hard work, though, I have to start small. I pulled out a small box full of pins, and had Angela (Debbie's sister) select one at random. I then placed it on the table, concentrated hard, and slowly, the pin stood on end, wobbling on its point. I then asked Debbie's dad to go ahead and pick it up, and collapsed back, exhausted. The perfect trick- borrowed table, normal pin, empty hands. I performed it again for Debbie's brother-in-law. He looked at me, and said, "I'm not even going to try to figure out how you did that."

What? No, I'm not going to tell you guys how I did it, either! Maybe I'll show it to you sometime, though ;)
