I have two more full weeks at work and then I'm on four or three day weeks to use up my annual leave before I get to say, "Well I'd say it's been nice knowing you all but it really hasn't, bye then!" at the end of August. \o/

What follows is things I have been doing instead of doing practical move like things.

So Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell tanked? I'm watching it but I'll be honest, I'm fascinated by the costuming and the effects but for some reason I'm not captivated by it.

Yeah like you I can see a lot that's admirable about it but there's just something not quite clicking together for me.

It's lost over 2/3r'ds of the audience it had for the first episode apparently. I see a lot of 'oh that's because the audience is stupid and dont like fantasy'comments but that's BS. If that was true Game of Thrones wouldnt be the biggest show in the world right now.

good point. I think it's rather slow m oving or maybe it's lost too much in translation since it's such a large book (then again I can't even remember if I liked the book so there's that)

I remember I liked the book but that's about it! I suspect if I remembered more about the book I'd have been more enthralled. It reminds me a bit of watching one of the Harry Potter movies with my mum, who has never read any of the books. She found the film total gibberish as she couldnt fill in the blanks at all.
