In brief

I spent a very pleasant weekend in London/Portsmouth last weekend. Of note was seeing Golem, a cautionary tale about over reliance on technology and mass media, at The Young Vic and Made in Dagenham, the musical based on the film based on the industrial unrest. Both were hugely enjoyable.

lonelybrit and I also stumbled upon a couple of treasure chests circa 1190 that the Pope has sent over to help gather funds for the Crusade which were casually against a wall in Chichester Cathedral for just anyone to come in and lean against.

This week I have been to the Lyceum in Edinburgh to see Faith Healer, four monologues told from three people's perspective which was an intriguing concept well acted but a little hard going due to the constant need to focus on one person for a half hour stint. I have also sat my driving test for the third time and failed it again. This time though I pulled up at the test centre thinking 'I might just have passed that'. I hadn't but at least it wasn't so bad this time I knew I hadn't!

In conclusion! Have seen first 3 episodes of Agent Carter and love it. The unapologetic feminist theme, the high quality production values, Hayley Atwell and James D'Arcy's banter...love it all to tiny pieces

marvel, real life, review
