This Time Tomorrow

I should be touching down in Glasgow where I shall remain until Monday and then it's off to Madeira with Mother and Igor for the rest of the week. It better be bloody sunny. In Madeira that is, I shall be astounded if it's sunny in Glasgow. I have been off two days this week with the cold from hell due to the never ending winter we're having.

Still no news re contract renewal but at this stage it's basically 90% sure there will be no more funding for the industrious little troll that answers the phone. That would be me. There is a very exciting job prospect at Edinburgh though and tomorrow I plan to have a chat with my manager about her helping me with the application. I am trying not to get my hopes up but I may just send in an application that says I HAZ TO HAVS THIS JOB AS I WOULD BE THE BESTEST YES I WOULD SO THERE!!! as that would be the truth.

Now for some films! I have recently seen the following.

Solomon Kane - James Purefoy vehicle where he plays a mercenary turned Puritan avenger. I watched it purely for the Purefoy and he didn't disappoint. The plot's a bit so so but he's fantastic. Sadly never naked though.

Looper - This reminded me a bit of Source Code in it's a slightly more cerebral sci-fi film, the first half didn't particularly hold my interest but it picks up quite a bit in the second half. Joseph Gordon-Levitt does a great Bruce Willis impression it has to be said.

Oz: The Great and Powerful - I enjoyed it, thought all the cast did a good job, but I think it is very much for Wizard of Oz/Wicked aficionado's.
