In short I have spent the past two weeks eating my own body weight
Have had two weekends of gluttony in a row, note to self, must go to gym tomorrow. Last weekend the Hornblingers celebrated the birthday of gingerpig and worked out that if you add our ages up you would get a woman living in the reign of Charles II. I can't think of a better monarch than the Merrie one to preside over us!
The Horblingers also convened this Friday to go and see sensitive, artistic, drama, Magic Mike. We only went for the choreography. *cough* Today as somewhat of a cultural palate cleanser I went with nodbear and a visiting amaraal to Keats House, which was very nicely decorated! We then went to a local pub, The Roebuck for Sunday lunch which consisted of a perfectly decent roast dinner and an apple tart the size of a blanket.
Viewing round up! The Hollow Crown: Henry IV Part 1 was excellent, Part 2 was less so purely because the plot was a bit crap, it was still wonderfully acted and produced though. I have also watched Red Road which I was a bit wary about as director Andrea Arnold's version of Wuthering Heights was so awful. Red Road is so much better. Wonderfully observed, I was crying by the first 20 mins.
To end, I have eleven Jesus (plural? Jesi?) on my telly singing. Surely that's a sign of the apocalypse?
