Well said m'dear! The Tory's European "allies" are despicable and I wouldn't trust Cameron as far as I could spit a rat. Although I suppose that goes without saying. I've never voted Labour in my life, I usually go for SNP or the green protest vote however I might just have to break the habit of a lifetime this time round.

I've never voted Labour before either funnily enough, it's been SNP, Lib Dem or Green. If I lived in Bristol I'd be opting for the Greens as they seem to be in with a shot of winning that seat.

This is the first Westminister election I've voted in where the outcome isn't already a forgone conclusion. I'll be interested to see how many people up here revert to Labour when they know a protest vote might actually cost Labour the election.

Definitely.

That's a very good point. I'm going to have to give this some thought.

And btw I absolutely agree with your point below I would never consider not voting, no matter how disillusioned of undecided.

Living in a constituency here where Tories are a dead cert and some ghastly looking BNP literature hit my letterbox this week.As the lib dems don't really have a chance here despite what they say - and as you say even if they did there would be this major question )I think its Labour then for me too - unless there is a Green candidate, which I must find out...( shows my indolence, alas). But agree whole heartedly with the Europe comments.

I think I never felt less like voting - though I wouldn't dream of not doing, it being a privilege even my grandmother was not to have until she was in her 30s - it wasn't so long ago

My feelings exactly.

I was just thinking earlier, it seems like this may be the last election decided by first past the post, and so the next, with PR, could see a BNP candidate elected to a British Parliament, what an awful and depressing thought.
