Standing up for Myself
I did go to my boss and ask him for a raise to compensate me fairly for the work that I do. He said that he would "try" to talk to my Regional Manager about getting me a raise. I told him that, although I believe in being a team player, I feel like I'm doing much more work than is required of me and that I've been thinking about all the money that I'm losing by doing a job two levels above mine for my wages. I also told him I felt that I was being used. This is a big step for me since I usually just take what I'm given. I am at a point in my life where I am done being pushed around. I hope that I do get a raise. If I don't, I will be looking for another job. I'm going to anyway, just in case.
