That's the problem with rebuilds -- they mean that your sims go sooner than they probably should have done, and closer together than they probably should have done too. Tara is indeed lucky in her choice of roommate.
Kiyoshi does indeed have much boltage, and he doesn't give two pins about marital status if the lady in question doesn't. You may or may not recognize the married lady as being from my Trailer Park Challenge, where infidelity is encouraged, and so it's not an issue for her.
No, no luck on the supernatural front yet. I believe that whisper_doll doesn't have any supernaturals in her version of the challenge yet either. If I can just get Kiyoshi's plants to cooperate, then I can at least get the plantsim going. And I'm considering adding a hack that increases the chance of vampires, because I like vampires, but that feels like cheating. I'll just have Tamara chug a lot of coffee, I guess, and keep on visiting multiple lots.
I'm glad you enjoyed the update, even if it *was* sad. Thanks for reading and commenting! :D
The challenge creator is having equally appalling luck with acquiring supernaturals, so I don't feel so bad. The point is to have fun, right? And I am having fun, just like I had fun with my asylum (which I also lost).
I think you are more caught up on my updates than I am caught up on yours. :( I need to sit down and go through your updates properly some time this week, and at least make a little headway.
You're probably right about Kiyoshi taking the wrong seat at the bubble blower. I'm not old yet, and I don't like it when people take *my* seat...
Oh yes, Kiyoshi is one of those sims. I've never had one before, just (years ago) Tyrone who went for the straight men and the gay women. But this is a bit different.
I do have a grand vampire, even if he doesn't have a vampire overlay -- I've seen him multiple times with other households who go out at night. He's just avoiding Tamara because he knows I want her to meet one. :/ I have plants in the apartment, but they don't seem to want to show or grow weeds. It's a bit puzzling, because I've never had a problem getting a plantsim before. I do have your lovely community gardens, so depending on how things shake out, maybe I'll send Kiyoshi there for a bit and see if that helps.
Jo made two lovely high street lots for me that work beautifully together, and I just copied her work for my lot.
Kiyoshi is an interesting guy. I see him as caring and careless at the same time. And I may or may not have encouraged things a bit, given that the married lady is involved in a Trailer Park Challenge... ;)
Tamara's parents were amazing! I'll miss them as much as she will, I'm sure.
Before the rebuilds, Tamara did know a vampire, but she only met him because I took her to a community lot as part of an outing from a different household and then Influenced her to talk with him. I swear the game knows what I want and refuses to give it to me!
Great to see another "Sun and Moon" update! :) I don't have AL installed, so it's fun to catch glimpses of apartment life. I chuckled at your captions for Kiyoshi's ill-judged attraction to his co-worker. ;) Or maybe not so ill-judged, if an affair would help her in her own challenge!
When I started up this challenge, I didn't realize how hard it would be to transform Sims "naturally." I can't even get a PlantSim, which is usually not so hard. The secret to getting a PlantSim, I think, is to expose the Sim to a lot of spray within one play session; the effect doesn't seem to accumulate. If this gets frustrating, please feel free to edit/cheat your Sims into a vampire and PlantSim!
I usually don't have too much trouble getting plantsims. I think it's the apartment that's messing things up. I'm planning to move the household to Tamara's parents' house, which should help, I think. I don't want to just cheat Tamara and Kiyoshi to supernaturals, because that would take some of the fun out of it for me, but would you be okay with me putting in a hack to increase the chances of having a vampire show up on a community lot? The current chance is 10%, I think, and the hack I want can increase that to 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%, as you prefer. I thought that 25% or 50% would be good.
I'm glad you're enjoying the story! I'm definitely enjoying the challenge. :) Thanks for reading and commenting!

Wow, Kiyoshi sure does have a lot of bolts with a lot of sims. Regardless of marital status, apparently. ;)
No luck with being supernatural yet? Well bummer, that sometimes takes a lot of time.
Nice update, even though indeed a bit sad!

Shame about the lack of supernaturals, I hope you can get somewhere with it all soon.
I have so much catching up to do on your updates, but at least I'm fully caught up with this one right? :)

Ha one of those sims I see, boltage everywhere and picks the married ones.
You do have a gran vampire I take it? Seems strange you haven't seen one. Lots of plants and lots of spraying will get you a plant sim.

Kiyoshi knows what, or rather who, he wants! :) That is a lot of bolts, and an interesting aspiration combination.
Poor Tamara, her parents were awesome. :(
Supernaturals always seem to appear everywhere except where you want them. Hopefully you'll have more luck next rotation!
