Wha . . . wha . . . whsdfelskgdolvbklbkdlkbdlkfngldknbdlbk . . .
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/disney-acquire-lucasfilm-ltd-195100740.html Disney now owns Lucasfilm?? George SOLD Lucasfilm to Disney??? I . . . I don't know how to react to that, to be honest. It could mean bigger Star Wars Weekends, but it also means . . .
(insert Palpatine's creepy theme)
. . . Episode 7.
Seriously. First thing Disney does after aquiring Lucasfilm is announce Episode 7.
I DON'T WANT AN EPISODE SEVEN. I don't want it I don't want it I don't want it I DON'T WANT IT!!
I DON'T WANT EPISODE SEVEN!!!
ESPECIALLY not if George isn't doing it. We all saw how great the EU was when George wasn't involved - THAT CAN'T BECOME CANON!!!
And yeah, I actually like the prequels and defend them to death, but I DON'T WANT MY HAN'S FUTURE RUINED. Twenty-years-later prequels are one thing, but twenty-years-later SEQUELS are an entirely different matter. (We all saw how well Indiana Jones 4 was received, for example.)
And as I've said before, there are three options for my beloved Han: Dead Han, Old Han, or Recast Han, and I don't want ANY of them.
What if Episode 7 tells us that Han knocked Leia up and then walked out on her right before they were supposed to be married?
Or worse . . . made the EU canon??
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
