(no subject)
I was reading everyone's live journal entries, when all of a sudden it hit me... I have not written in a while. First of all... Blair, where the heck are you!?
Work is interesting. I've realized that I do not enjoy office jobs as a general thing. It's not that I hate them, but it is not enjoyable. The thing is, though, they always pay the best, and considering that it is only a temporary situation, I can just pull through it. My new goal, though, is to try to find things I like about work, and to not dread the times when the owner is in the office (she escalades the stress level of everyone in there about 20%!).
One thing that I have learned about myself, though, is that I enjoy working hard, but I have yet to be employed in a job that I enjoy being at and working hard in. It makes the prospect of being a stay at home mom a situation that I envy and anticipate. Also, I've thought a lot about teaching, and I think I want to work towards becoming a teacher... so yeah.
I love my singles ward here, but I always have trouble getting myself to be outgoing when I am out of my comfort zone... but that is another one of my goals, and I'm pretty sure I can figure out a way to do it.
Hey guess what!!! Just as I was getting home, my sisters adopted a guy (not actually adopted him, maybe confiscated is a better word:) ) from the ward named Blake. So he was over at our house the other night to pick up some pictures that he had left here- and in a moment of randomness, I taught him how to leg-wrestle... IT WAS SO FUN!! He totally kicked my trash, but I still enjoyed it and look forward to many a more leg wrestle:)
