So today was the first of the originally-scheduled psych appointments. And how did I spend it?

Well, repeating after a tape recorder, mostly.

Things learned today: repeating words at regular intervals becomes quasi-hypnotic if you have to strain hard enough to make the words out; hearing words only in one ear of headphones, and an echoing silence in the other, for long enough produces enough bizarre pseudo-pain that you *can* find yourself reaching up to block noise that isn't there; and, if trying to read and listen to words at the same time, with significant background noise, for no apparent reason I acquire a compulsion to correct the spelling of the words I'm reading for the duration of the background noise.

I'm also mildly amused that the doctor, who last session had been focusing on the depression to the exclusion of anything and everything else, this session (now that I've been back on meds, again, for about six weeks - last session was right at the start of the downswing that prompted me to go back on said meds) took one look at me and agreed that the depression was a side issue.

I'm wondering what the hell I looked like last time.

Community-ed classes are on hiatus for a bit; spring session starts in April, and I'm scheduled for a class then. I am not managing to get things done as fast as I *should* be; I am, however, managing to get them *done*. The car-loan people have hogtied themselves in their own paperwork, and I am going through the vast amusement of pointing out to them daily that they need to look in X place in their arcane filing system for Y thing that Z person placed to confirm that, yes, I am in fact not late with any payments, they just took two months to generate one sheet of paper, it is entirely their fault, and they can go away now. This provides me with daily amusement (and weird looks from the rest of the family).
