(no subject)
Well this week has gone by pretty quickly, and somehow I managed to get only a couple of the things I needed to do all week done...that's annoying.
Tuesday I tried to go to the kayak roll clinic, but there were so many people there there wasn't any boats. I could have stayed and traded out with someone, but the pool was so crowded I didn't want to. So came home and did some hw and hung out with John for a couple hours after watching Sex and the City.
Also had our first track workout tuesday. 8x400. Supposed to be easy and relaxed starting around 90 but everyone is so competitive we kept on cutting them down. Did most around 85-87 but did one at 83. Have to meet all the new freshmen girls now. Didn't run cross so didn't get to meet them. Looks like we'll have some fast girls afterall. We were afraid that losing Jessica and a couple others would make it so that Shaheen and I would be the leaders! then our team would be screwed! haha.
Wednesday we had our after Mardi Gras dinner. I made a king cake (not as good as store bought down south) and some gumbo and muffalatas. It was all yummy and everyone else liked it as well. Played some uno and then went to bed at like 10:30 b/c I'm exausted.
Went and mucked out stalls in the am thursday, pretty cold out and everything is frozen and needed to get back to study for ecology test so didn't ride today. Groomed the Fjords though since they are shedding like nobody's business. When I was done with Kurt, I think I had as much of his hair on me as he did! Came home and read through the ppt lectures for Ecology. The test was the longest test ever. 50 questions but like 30 of them were short answer and it was open book so I didn't know the material that well so had to look stuff up. Noone got done till like a minute after class was over (1 hr 20 min) and at like 10 mins left I still had like 2 pages of short answer to do. He's going to curve it so hopefully some jack ass doesn't do really well on it and screw up the curve!
Went for a run with Shaheen and lifted after. Then we got pizza and went over to the boys' place to eat and watched The O.C. Then came home and studied for my ochem lab midterm and tried to find a scientific journal article with naked p values and silly null hypothesis for biostats extra credit but no such luck.
Going to check out a dagger infrared ww kayak next week. $300 for boat, spray skirt, and float bags. I hope it works out, I really want my own boat, and dad needs to pay up on his deal that i get a kayak if I pred in the 800(which I did by 3 seconds).
I should be hearing from someone up in Alaska about an internship opportunity soon acording to Anne, I hope it works out. I really want it to. hanging out on an island in AK all summer counting birds or other field work.
