The Looming Extinction of Pacific Cetaceans
Extinction predicted for Pacific Dolphins and Whales from Radiation

Yoichi Shimatsu former editor of the weekly Japan Times is interviewed on Rense Radio, discussing the dire situation of Fukushima, saying the the sea emissions, alone could lead to the largest mammalian extinction event since the Stone Age, where the oceans' dolphins and whales could go the way of the woolly mammoth, the saber-toothed cats and the American camel.

I am, to put it mildly, in love with the ocean and with marine biology. It's not a subject that I talk about often, nor is it a subject that I very often work with, but it has always been one of my biggest loves. I still sometimes wishes that I chosen to become a marine biologist instead of whatever I'll end up being with this education.
And getting to swim "with" dolphins for some weeks ago was one of the most amazing experiences in my entire life. They are such beautiful and graceful creatures, and I hope that I in the future can get to dive with other creatures of the ocean (I'm planning on getting SCUBA diving certificate next summer).

So seeing this is - just so depressive.
