I'm watching the original Red Dawn. It came out in 1984, so I was in the 4th grade. I remember it being the very first PG-13 movie my sister was allowed to go see and I couldn't go because I was too young. At the time I was furious but now I'm very glad because it would have scared the bejeezuses out of me, I was already feverishly praying in bed ( Read more... )

i had forgotten about one of my longwood profs saying "a lot of people don't know this but the nazis weren't communists" until francois brought something like that up on facebook. did i tell you i got angry with the one guy for trying to tell me about the cold war? i was raised only a couple of kilometres away from the inner-german border. i also don't understand why people lived in terror but then all i remember was towards the very end of the cold war and my parents are generally un-panicky people (my dad had a soft spot for the RAF terrorists and was once taken into custody trying to cross the border in berlin for carrying suspicious paperwork with him).
you have bottom pee too often! maybe you have to change what you eat. i always had it from the d-hall food in farmville:(
i just cut off my old parka so i can wear it as a jacket! i have no jackets apart from my military jacket, only coats.

You did tell me about that dummy, yes! Well here there was a lot of fear-mongering and anti-Russian propaghanda, I persoally lived in fear of nuclear war for several years of my childhood, it was al over the news and there were made for tv movies and things.

I have a very bad diet, I know :(

It is soooo cold here! 16f today! And we have more snow! I nearly hit a plow in the parking lot because the jackass was parked in a non-spot and he was in my blind spot!

a boy i studied with in hanover said that his parents wouldn't take him outside when he was a baby because they were scared of gas attacks and radiation in case the russians tried to take over the whole of germany. i think i was just brought up by people who didn't really believe that would happen. i just thought maybe they lived in american territory (would make sense they'd be more worried) but he was from hanover and all of lower saxony was british. hm.
eat more porridge! and bananas!
it snowed here today, too! but it didn't stick. was more hale than snow. the news said the winter will return, though.
