Pretend Friends
Jonas saw the new Alice in Wonderland over a month ago, but he has mentioned the rabbit almost everyday. Today, he told me the rabbit went to the grocery store and it clicked. I realized he is talking about more than the rabbit in the movie. He also has quite a thing for "Jinkerbell" after seeing twenty seconds of Tinkerbell in a Shrek 3-D short film we have. Jinkerbell is apparently in an ambulance, but she is not sad. Rabbit does seem to spend an awful lot of time in Jonas's ear. Hmmm...
I had a lot of pretend friends for a while there. I knew where they all were and what they were doing at all times. My great aunt tried to trip me up by asking. She was particularly critical of one named Brother John. Aunt Vina accused him of all sorts of mischief. I sure do miss her. She would have had a ball with Jomi.
