Have you met someone that fits the following description lately:
- super huge, bursting ego
- "I-am-always-right" mindset
- petty
- badmouths you behind your back and claims he's not
- immatured
- unprofessional attitude
Well, I've met yet another just recently, and I simply can't understand the existence of such people. I mean, this is the typical HILE (Hi IQ, Low EQ) folks I am talking about here. Look, they try to be cheeky and make use of (what they claim) harmless "suaning" (insulting) to get pull the relationship closer. What they don't understand is that there exists a fine line between that and verbal abuse / personal attacks. I know I am lame as hell, but having one verbally abusing you and then claiming that it's all a joke isn't exactly the best way to make friends don't you think? Moreover, I don't like unnecessary confrontations but I'd never avoid one when it's necessary. I finally told him I don't appreciate his kind of humour and would he please just stop it, and then words start spreading around the office?! ....And I thought I am the girl here.
What really makes my blood boil is that I requested for a minute to sort things out, and I quote him.. "I don't think it's necessary..", "..you can't take jokes.. I apologise and there's nothing more I can offer already.. I didn't even badmouth you (when he's out there telling the next person once he gets the chance).. I can apologise more times if you want..", ".. I don't want to play politics here.. ..I just want to come to do my work.." ......Seriously, look who's talking here.
Damn. I just wasted five minutes, some brain cells and the hastening of the tear-and-wear process of my keyboard, just to type out this entry.
