The One With The Pre-Launch Buffet Lunch

I like the environment up here in the MMC in SPH. MMC houses teams like AsiaOne, RazorTV and Storm. There're two table-soccer sets and one pool table at the relax corner, and a few sofas with a mini library of books at the entrance of MMC. TVs are everywhere playing all different channels. There's even the real-life figure of Master Yoda, dressed in a leather jacket, artist's cap and a pair of cool sunglasses standing on top of the dividers in the middle of the entire room, over-looking everything.

We had a pre-launch buffet lunch (of RazorTV) today up here in MMC this afternoon, and the atmostphere is really cozy. There was the update by the VIP on the growth of the branches under MMC at the relax corner, followed by lunch itself, and a few rounds of table-soccer.  You can almost see the table moving constantly with the on-going actions, and beads of perspiration trickling down the foreheads of the partipants. I partnered one of my teammate from U and we won the other two chaps from U as well.

In my opinion, the MMC is very well-taken care of. Heads of department know everyone by name, and can even make mini introductions of most of them. As an outsider, I can almost feel the close bonds within the members of all three teams. Funny thing is, there are all kinds of folks here.. And they all gel pretty well. Cool. :)

Anyway, RazorTV is launching this Friday, and it's the make-it-or-break-it project SPH is betting on this decade. After decades of prints, they decided to capture the younger audience via their preferable mode of communication - iptv. All eyes are on this project and they're getting their Guest-of-Honor to probably press some button or something to launch RazorTV officially. My company is the team behind the building of infrastructure for RazorTV, and we're all prepared for it; but in the event that NOTHING happens when the button is clicked, you'd be sure I'd be making my dash for the nearest pot of plant (they have many many here) to hide under, and hopefully, camouflage myself. That reminds me - I'd better wear something green during the launch. ;p Do check this site out on Friday - www.razortv.com
