The State Libary of New South Wales have put their collection of old
Australian photography onto Flickr for free perusal. This stuff is gold.
Mutleyjames should do his photo thing with them and pitch his work
in their direction for promotional whatevers. kanawinkie should go
work for them or see if they're hiring. Srsly, I know Australia can seem
like one big Small Town to us foreigners, but if you're at all local, go support!
I think they do a wonderful service.
If you're a fan of period stuff (and I know some of you are) then you can
get lost rooting around their images for a good long time. Particularly
folks who like to make work with era specifics (ahem, I'm looking at you
gear-halo and darklingthrush).
I particularly dig the button down ankles on dudes pants(!) I want pants
like that (I know about the cycling knickerbockers thing, that's a little
too extreme for me).
