spring fever

woke up today to no Mae Bell. she's out on the couch in the living room.
i was noticing that more and more, and i have now realized what it is:

it's spring now, it's not nearly as cold at night. hence, she doesn't sleep
with me anymore. i felt irrationally glum about being rejected by my cat for
about two breaths until i realized that i was upset over being rejected by my cat.

of course she was just interested in me for my calories. when i lived in an
apartment with central heating, she never slept with me at all. it's my human
thinking to attribute her night time snuggling to anything more than winter
opportunism.

but still, i'm kind of a sucker ;_;
