Fandom: Trick or Treat Dear Author Letter
Dear Trick or Treat Author,
I am thrilled to participate in Trick or Treat this year. Halloween is my favorite holiday, and fall my favorite season, so Trick or Treat feels like an awesome mix of things I love combined with fandoms I adore. Good times.
I can't wait to read your story or see your art. I've provided a little bit of information about things I do and do not want, along with a few thoughts about why I like particular fandoms and characters, but mostly I want you to have fun creating. Don't let any prompts or thoughts below stress you out. I love both fic and art. Feel free to mix and match tricks and treats, within a fandom or across fandoms.

Do Not Want:
+ disrespect for characters of color, queer characters (particularly bisexual and trans* characters), fat characters, or characters with mental illness

+ use of "crazy" to mean bad or dangerous or scary, etc.
+ stories set at mental hospitals, whether currently active or abandoned
+ embarrassment/humiliation
+ animal cruelty or death

+ spiders. Especially in art, but sometimes even the word is enough to get to me.

What I Like: I love this fandom because it's teen girls having (often ridiculous) adventures. Friendship is pretty much always the most important part of their lives, and it pushes a lot of my chosen family buttons.
I like all the characters in the tag list, but Dawn, Stacey, Sunny, and Claudia have always been some of my favorites. I love the way best friends can be alike in super important ways, and yet still dissimilar in others, and the ways they have to navigate the friendships through the clashes brought on by those spaces. I'd love stories about any one of these girls, or all of them, or them with other friends and families and boyfriends and girlfriends.
I particularly love bisexual Dawn and/or Stacey, and I ship any combination of these four.
Trick Prompts:

Jurassic Park - All Media Types
Characters: Lex Murphy, Sarah Harding, Ellie Sattler
What I like: Dinosaurs. I love dinosaurs so much. Girls and women getting to do amazing things and have great adventures without being treated like they are weak and worthless by the narrative. (I was less than impressed with Jurassic World because of the treatment of women and characters of color, particularly women of color.) Scientists being awesome.
I ship Sarah and Ellie, but also love them as friends, Sarah and Malcolm (same), and Lex with girls (and women) closer to her own age.
Trick Prompts:
+ Lex is too smart to end up on an island full of dinosaurs again, right? Except here she is, and here Jurassic World is going terrible, horribly wrong.
+ Sarah loves the predators, but nothing ever gives her as much a thrill as dinosaurs. She keeps working for Jurassic Park as it turns into Jurassic World. She never intended to be running through the park trying to keep everyone alive. Again.
+ Werewolves.
+ Dinosaurs aren't the only science-created monsters in the world.

What I Like: It's a shiny, fun movie about werewolves in the same vein (heh) as Lost Boys was for vampires, in that horror-comedy-ridiculous things kind of way. I love Ellie and her brother trying to navigate life without their parents, and Ellie trying to find ways to love and be loved when she's hurting so much. And I love the hell out of werewolves.
I ship Ellie with most people who aren't her brother and/or underage, including werewolves from other fandoms.
