10 Things I Hate About You
+
"Won't Be Your Winter" has a sharp, intelligent Kat who moves from not wanting to see Patrick to deciding whether she will give him a second chance. The way she relates to her family is wonderful, and Kat and Patrick, years later, are both recognizable as the teens they were and at the same time more decidedly themselves as adults.
+
"10 Things I Hate About You" has Patrick writing a (perfectly in character and hilarious) poem for Kat. There's a bit to their exchanges, that mix of sarcasm and fun and caring which makes them so enjoyable.

"East Hastings" is a haunting look at other people trying to survive, a brave and scared teenage girl having to do the unthinkable and take care of her brother at the same time. The girl's voice broke my heart.
A A Milne - Winnie the Pooh
+
"In Which Worlds Collide and Eeyore Investigates a Terrible Crime" is a crossover with - well, I'll let you see for yourself, but it is a crossover, and the tone is spot on, and Eeyore just the sweetest, saddest little thing ever. And there are footnotes, which make everything better.
The Addams Family (movie)
+
"Because We're Addamses" - I'll let this excerpt tell you all you need to know about this twisted little tale of Wednesday: Because we're Addamses. Madness, psychosis, and the macabre are our children and our food. And we gladly feast on those that would subdue us.
Adventures of Pete and Pete
+
"Today's Adventure: Wrigley Versus Wrigley" is a wonderful story with an absolutely show-perfect tone. I wasn't the biggest fan of the show back in the day, but this pinged the best kind of nostalgia, which gave me fond thoughts and happy feelings. It deals well with the looming presence of college, too, and how that transition can change your whole world.
Aladdin
+
"Whole New World" made me cry. It's Genie, and the voice is incredible, the story filled with depth and emotion, and I love the non-linear parts of it, and the way Genie uses his magic, and the love in Agrabah. It's an incredible story.
Aliens series (movies)
+
"Far Across the Stars" has an amazing Ripley. Just amazing, and haunting, and so strong and determined to save the world. The premise here, greed and the belief some humans have that they can control anything, even monsters, is fantastic, and chilling, and I wish this story went on forever.
+
"We Did Not Make Ourselves" is another chilling story of monsters, outside as well as within, built as well as born, and accidents of science.
Ann Brashares - The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series
+
"The First Year After the Sisterhood" is a long story, full of incredible details, and their lives unfold in such a sweet, steady, in character way. It's lovely and slightly haunting. And the girl slash is wonderfully done.
+
"And Adoring Heart" is a sweet, subtle story focusing mostly on Tibby and Lena, and the love growing between them, and how their lives move on from where they were.
Being Human
+
"I am one such dream" is a lovely story about the three of them, and they way they interact, and the rules which exist and don't exist. It's very sweet, and very in character.
Beauty and the Beast (1991 movie)
+
"What Became of Marie La Fleur" is a sweet story of how a woman can change, and the growing friendship between Belle and Marie. It's very quiet, and lovely.
The Breakfast Club
+
"The Tender Things That We Were Working On" is a quiet story about how people change after high school, and how you go back to face the ones you left behind.
Fairy Tales (trad.)
+
"Cloak and Dagger" has a Little Red Riding Hood after the story, trying to fix all the things she's sent wrong. It gave me a delightful little chill down my spine.
In Plain Sight (tv)
+
"An Ugly Fact of Life" is a detailed story with amazing Mary characterization and an in-depth look at the way life goes wrong when you try to do the right thing.
Mark Z Danielewski - House of Leaves
+
"The Hundred Acre House" is a deliciously, delightfully creepy mix of Pooh and House of Leaves and is absolutely wonderful. I wish it went on longer, because I desperately wanted more.
Primeval (tv)
+
"No Stone to His Memory" deals with the non-linearity of their lives, and the way that, with so many pasts and futures, death is everywhere, but so is life. I love the Stephen here as well.
+
"Just a Small Difference" also deals with the way the source material has so many possibilities, so many different pasts and futures, and little details can change but the overall world still exists.
+
"Let It Snow" is the loveliest story about Abby and Connor hunting a lost creature in the middle of a storm. Abby's voice is spot on here, her thoughts sharp with the slightest hint of the sweetness growing between them.
The Princess Bride
+
"Paradise" has the most amazing Fezzik, who loves numbers and has an evolving idea of paradise, and Inigo after the end of the movie, how he must deal with the fact he has met his life's goal, and now what can he do? It's beautiful, and lovely, and a quiet perfection.
Tamora Pierce - Circle of Magic series
+
"Rooted Lightning" has Tris studying at Lightsbridge under her secret personality and it's wonderful. It deals with how she would feel, undercover and lying and away from her family, and how that would leave her lonely and without parts of herself. Briar's plant is amazing, and the way they pick at each other, tease beneath the love, is spot on.
Tamora Pierce - Tortall series
+
"in misfortune, we hunt" has Kel being amazing, and a twisty tale of what people will and won't do for their kingdom, and the way what people see isn't always the truth. It's a really lovely look at loyalty and trust and putting kingdom above self.
+
"Vera(lidaine) Goes Home After a Sojourn in the City" - I don't really have words for this story, and the oddness of it, and the attitude of the narrator, who is stubborn and sharp and real.
+
"Bis vivit qui bene vivit" is George and Alanna during her first pregnancy, and the characterization is incredible, particularly Alanna, and her worries about the future of her child, and her worries about whether she can protect the living thing she is carrying.
