Fic rec: Glee, Harry Potter, Criminal Minds
I've been meaning to post this for awhile, just adding to it and adding to it.
Glee
bana05 has been writing an amazing series of Mercedes/Sam stories that are just absolutely delightful. I already loved them as a couple, but this series is how I wish canon would go. (My heart.) And her Mercedes/Sam isn't the only good part. I love the ensemble pieces and Mike and Sam's friendship and the way the girls are friends, OH GOD, later, Mercedes and Santana, I will mark that one special. This series has really been the highlight of my summer; I don't comment enough, but every time I see a new one, I use it as a reward and a treat for me getting through some really rough times. AMAZING STUFF RIGHT HERE.

18. Thinking Before Leaping (Mercedes has some tough things to say to Sam, and this story really hit home for me.)

20. Refreshing Fat (More friendships and flirtation and sexy times. bana05 really nails the friendships and the dynamic of glee club here.)
21. Study Sessions (SEXY TIMES.)
22. Sticks and Stones and Short Cuts (This is the Santana and Mercedes story for me, but god, friendships and love and Mercedes and Santana have amazing women in their lives. TW: racist slurs, fat slurs.)
23. Family Ties (God, the ways family can hurt us too.)
Do yourself a favor and go read every bit of this series. It has all the things I want most in Glee fics: amazing friendships between the Glee girls, Mercedes getting love, Lauren/Puck and their awesome badassery, the glee club learning how to be an actual team, families being important, Mike getting solid friendships -- I love this so, so much.
Harry Potter
Cho Chang and the Jasmine Code by xenokattz
Summary: (Set between Half-Blood Prince & Deathly Hallows) Before returning to help her former schoolmates in the Battle of Hogwarts, Cho Chang fought against Voldemort & his follows in a more covert manner.
This is amazing, beautiful. Cho is such a fleshed out character here, and the cover way she fights is perfect. I love this story.
Criminal Minds
The C in the Capwell Hotel (JJ/Garcia)
Summary: They had known each other almost exactly six months. JJ thought about an anniversary gift but wondered if it would be inappropriate.
