I love it. And you know my feelings about Star, but here she's so much more then she is just in the film. I actually like her in this.
I think the "twinkle twinkle" part is genius. And Marko and his birds. And Paul's white pants. (Are we all obsessed with his white pants?) And Dwayne's like the Indian Chief of Never Never Land.
And D as Cap'n Hook. Now there's something to explore.
I am so relieved you like it! I do know how you feel about Star, but a) I like writing her as more than she is in the film and b) I really wanted the variation on the story Michael gets.
Dude, the white pants are ridiculous! No wonder we're all obsessed!
I think I may have to expand on this a little, a story playing on the Never Never Land twists, because it's so easy to make a Peter Pan reference, but David really, really isn't Peter Pan and Star doesn't have to be Wendy, but also on Lost Boys as fractured fairy tales; I mean, as I was trying to figure out a title, I really wanted to use "What Big Teeth You Have" but obviously that is a different Lost Boy fracture fairy tale. One I think I may have to write.
Thank you! It was an excellent prompt and I loved writing it!
I think it's funny that I can hate her character in the film but I've started to tolerate (and occasionally like) her in fiction. I think it's all in the way she's written.
What vampire wears white?! I mean, really. And why aren't there more bloodstains on said pants in the movie?
I really like the idea of LB fractured fairy tales. It reminds me a lot of what I tried to do with the Audioslave album (that I've basically abandoned, oops) but I can't wait to see what you do with it. And the whole Never Never Land idea.

Brilliant, darling, as always!

Love it.
I always prefer Star in writing (but she didn't bug me as much as she bugs bat).
But David’s far more a pirate than the boy who never grows up and Star never wanted a kid of her own.
I really like that.
