I have such good luck when it comes to fic exchanges. SUCH GOOD LUCK.
I haven't done short_takes since this summer, but I signed up for the most recent round, about Shannon, and I really enjoyed the story I wrote, but I am speechless and filled with glee and just absolutely overwhelmed by the awesomeness of the story I received.
quirkytaverna wrote me "Wintry and Warm", which is a lovely, sweet Stacey/Shannon story which stole my breath and my words.
Summary: “It had been a natural time for the girls to re-connect; when your friends party a little too hard when it’s time for the standardized testing that determines your entire life, you seek out those you know with similar principles”
You guys, it MADE ME LIKE WINTER! For an instant, within the story, but STILL. IT MADE ME LIKE WINTER.
That is how awesome this story is.
I am going to consider this an early birthday present, because it's fabulous.
(My birthday is Friday, so it totally works.)
