writing and Lost

Somehow, in all my (lack of) organization, I though the Down and Dirty Buffy Femmeslash stories were due Saturday. Oh no, they're due Friday. I've finally completed mine and sent it to the beta, (thank you so much darling!), but oh, I'm nervous about it. Would anyone else like to take a look?

Lost tonight thrilled me to no end, for one reason. Well, all right, many reasons, but mostly:

+ Michelle Rodriguez! Oh, why couldn't she have been a full time castmember? In my daydreams, she really did survive and she'll be in the second season. Well, really my daydreams consist of tiny snippits of her character's last moments, and I just may have to write something this weekend. And here I swore no more new fandoms.

+ Locke and Hurley Jurassic Park moment. (Which, side note, I love how in the books, Dr. Malcolm makes Dr. Grant sound stupid for believing the T-Rex couldn't see movement even though it was a predator. Idea presented as utter fact in book one, completely turned around in book two. Continuity, yay. But anyway, I love Locke. I love Hurley. I love rain drenched Locke and Hurley. I love Locke as savior.

+ Sun and Jin made me cry. She wrote him a book of simple, phonetic English. They are so sweet together, so wounded and yet still hopeful.

+ Walt gave away his puppy and made me cry, too. I want a puppy.

+ All right, all right, I can finally see the whole Sawyer-actor-as-Gambit thing. Everyone, you can stop trying to convince me now. Also, woodcutter!Sawyer is freaking hot. I never thought I'd see the day.

+ Michelle Rodriguez. Deserves two mentions. So beautiful and oh, her hair. *lusts*

All in all, I really just loved the whole episode and I cannot wait for next week. Should be a good week, too. Only three and a half days of work before a four and a half day weekend, Lost finale on Wednesday (two hours!), Serenity on Thursday, T.'s graduation on Friday, bbq on Saturday, and then sleep, providing I don't decide to run up to Wiscon at the last minute. You never know.

I'll probably stay home, sleep, and write though. I need it.
