[fandom] never grow old
Oh, fandom.
In case you didn't know, this summer a straight-to-dvd sequel to The Lost Boys releases. There has been some contention about it over at the lostcave.net forums, and now that it's getting close to the drop date, people are coming out of the woodwork.
This means the mods at the forum are going to be working overtime to make sure LostCave.net and the forum remain open and friendly to all fans. As one of those mods, it is both an exciting time (who knew, ten years ago, that Sarah and I would be doing these things we do) and a frustrating time. Because I have my own opinions about the sequel, but they don't matter; the important part is making sure everyone feels welcome.
LB fandom has been extraordinarily lucky. For decades we've had no big fandom wars. Sarah, Aly, and I are doing our parts to make sure we keep up that track record during this new addition to the fandom.
