Yay crossover of awesomeness! I love Lilo & Stitch, and seeing them mixed with the Buffyverse, especially with the little femslashy touches too, made me a very happy person.

Eeee! You wrote it!

Of course I find it when I'm dead tired from hammering out the last of the fifteen pound baby.

But I'll read and review later today, when my eyes feel more like eyes and less like burning coals :)

Meh, who needs sleep, anyway?

Lilo grabbed her hand, sticky little fingers clinging to her, and bared her teeth in a scary grin.

“I’ll do anything, just let me have a campout for my birthday. Please? I’ll make my bed and clean up after Stitch and I’ll never ask for anything else again. Please? I’ll be good forever and ever, I promise.”

The kid didn’t have any parents, just a weird set of alien baby-sitters, a dog who could talk (sort of, sometimes, when he felt like it), and a big sister who was melting under Lilo’s love.

“Sure, okay, yeah. We’ll camp out. It’ll be fun.” Nani smiled and tried not to think about whatever weird food Pleakley would provide, or how much damage Jumba’s equipment could cause. “All night on the beach under the stars, what could go wrong?”

OMG--your characterization is perfection. Especially Nani. That weary, indulgent, of-course-because-I-love-you voice is spot. Freaking. On.

A nice, normal bonfire untouched by anything Jumba invented.I wanna take that line home, love it, pet it, and call it George ( ... )

Thank you so much! This was incredible feedback, and absolutely made a gray and miserable day much better.

You know, I wasn't consciously trying to capture that Riley Finn Syndrome, but that's so true about Buffy. Good theory! I think it may be because of her invulnerability. I mean, in Nani's situation, here's a woman who just saved her life and Lilo's life, and who not only takes the alien thing in stride but has dealt with things far weirder and more dangerous, and she's pretty much untouchable, so how do you thank her? How do you show what you're feeling, when you don't even understand it yourself?

Dude, that's it exactly! And you put it into practice so deftly and naturally here. I'm dying to know what Buffy thought of Lilo, Stitch, Nani--all of it. If she really took it in, even. Buffy's got Sunnydale Tunnelvision. There's this sense that--in this story--she's taking things as they come because in a way, anything that happens outside of SunnyD isn't quite real. Is a hiatus from reality ( ... )

Wow. That's just sweet and sad and makes me feel kinda fuzzy inside, too.
