I have some free time, so I'm catching up on responding to comments (so if you receive a response to a comment you left months ago, I'm really sorry, I'm bad at replying in a timely manner) and on entries I said I would write.
This is a continuation of the Give Me A Title, I'll Tell You A Tale meme which went around awhile back. I'm still finishing titles from the second round I did. (I think I still have titles to do from the first round, but I'm working my way back to it.)

Give Me A Title, I'll Tell You A Tale Redux+
"Mistakes We Knew We Were Making" [Blue Crush] and "House Meets His Match (Fire At the Tip and Burn On Down)" [House/BtVS]+
"Love the Skin You're In" [XMM] from
invisionary, Coming Out of the Dark
(Supernatural)
This is Ava and Jo, this Jo saving the day, and doing things the Winchesters couldn't do, proving to herself her family is better than theirs no matter if her dad died first. This is Ava, twisted by her time with the demon, confused, and a little broken. This is Jo, trying to put the pieces back together, and this is two women in a dark world trying to be friends.
This needs some outlining to bring out the specific details, but I am going to write this.

bluestargirl6, Slouching Toward Bethlehem, X-Men (any variety), Bobby/Kitty (Spoilers for X3)
This is post-X3, where Kitty feels guilty about Rogue, and thinks if she and Bobby hadn't flirted, if she and Jubilee had just tried harder to be Rogue's friends, if she had just been a better person, maybe Rogue wouldn't have given up her entire self. Throughout this is juxtaposed the way Rogue views mutation and the way Kitty does (which is something part scary, part wonderful).
To exacerbate her guilt, Bobby and Rogue fight a lot, for lots of reasons, but part of it boils down to the fact Bobby thinks she changed herself for him and that's not what he wanted, and he feels guilty, and so he gets angry. Plus Logan keeps hanging around Rogue, watching her, and that makes Bobby mad, too, especially the way Rogue doesn't seem to care. Eventually Bobby and Rogue break up, but then when Bobby turns to Kitty, she feels too guilty to date him, and their relationship is bogged down by Rogue between them.
Rogue, for her part, doesn't like being normal as much as she thought she would, though being able to bare her skin, to touch other people, that part is wonderful. It's terrible, too, she had become so used to not touching, to being careful, she feels this vague sense of terror whenever she does so.
In the end, Bobby and Kitty do get together, and Rogue, when her powers return, is both heart broken and ecstatic, because for awhile she was even more of a freak than ever, the mutant who willingly took the cure but still wanted to stick around.
There's probably a lot of Rogue/Logan in this, too.

"Trippin' the Light Fantastic" [BtVS] Dawn post Chosen on her own, maybe a little Xander.
Dawn, at twenty, finishes her Watcher training, even though she's already been an unofficial Watcher for awhile. To celebrate, she gets her own Slayer, and they are sent to Australia, where they face what turns out to be a Namorodo. It tests their skills, and maybe they shouldn't be out on their own yet, but they are, working together.
Meanwhile, Dawn is a little in love with Xander, which is why she requested an assignment so far away. Xander stays gones most of the time, but he's been coming back to home base more frequently, and Dawn doesn't want to be around him, not when she should have outgrown her little crush, not when it's mutated into something warm and strong and deep.
"Registered Simulcast" [Anita Blake/BtVS] Nathaniel, Jason, Faith. Jean Claude started a new venture featuring some of his best strippers.
Faith the Vampire Slayer has the Midwest covered. Her home base is St. Louis, where she works as a bouncer for Jean Claude and sometimes strips when she feels frisky. She's way territorial, so when a perky blonde girl shows up claiming to be the one, true Slayer, problems erupt.
Jean Claude has apparently stirred up some trouble out in California, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (what the hell kind of name is Buffy anyway?) has been sent to make sure things are all on the up and up.
When the vampires came out, Vampire Slayers did, too, and they are regulated by the government and get a paycheck, though it's not nearly enough considering what they do. They don't just hunt vampires, of course, and mostly they work as the supernatural police, but once in awhile they go rogue. Faith does a lot of rogue work.
This would be a complicated story, I think, but it might be fun. If only I didn't hate what lkh has done to the series. Maybe if I set it right after Obsidian Butterfly, I could handle rereading the books and writing it.
"Transparent" [Ugly Betty] Daniel, Betty. They have both reached their breaking point.
Daniel's in love, again, and it's even worse than before, because he's absolutely certain Betty isn't setting him up for a trick, or tormenting him, or doing anything but being the wonderful woman she has always been. He can see straight through her, see her honesty, her sincerity, but he can also see himself reflected off her, how he's not the right man for her, how she can't love him because she's involved elsewhere, how they're just friends.
Daniel's scared, but he sets about wooing Betty. Everything fails, miserably, he can't set up a good situation to save his life, but Betty's gentle, and appreciative, and she knows far more than he lets on, because really, when he cares, he's very transparent.
I would have to be more comfortable with and interested in rom-com to write this, I think, but I'd like to see it done.
