Anyone else seen Criminal Minds - Suspect Behavior? I'm catching up on the first season right now--about halfway through. It got off to a bit of a slow start, but at s7 I am enjoying more than I expected I would, based on the first few episodes. Shame it's only got the one season, I'd have loved to see what else they could do with it ( Read more... )

I wish they'd done more with character backstories rather than focusing on procedure--at least, eight eps in, I've not seen nearly enough of that--but for some reason that only makes me want to play with it more. I have no idea how to write any of the characters involved, of course, but hey, gotta break out of the comfort zone at some point, right?

THIS EXACTLY. I was so much more attached to the original team just a couple episodes into s1, and I think that's ultimately why I didn't like SB. :( If it had been something besides CM, where I didn't expect to love the team, I probably would've liked it a lot better :/ but mannnn I would love to see this. :D And yeah, you have so much more room to play with them this way! I SUPPORT YOU IN YOUR SPN/CM:SB CROSSOVER ENDEAVORS, CHRIS.

Yeah, the original CM, one episode and I was sold--entirely because of Reid. And there was definitely an expectation to be won over in a similar way--I mean, I watch a lot of procedurals, and some of them I'm not much for most of the team members, but it's a Criminal Minds spinoff, okay, it's supposed to have deliciously awesome interplay. I AM GLAD TO HEAR THIS :D SOMEHOW I SUSPECT IT IS GOING TO TURN INTO A MONSTER OF A FIC. I figure, Cooper calls them in so they can figure out if it's his kind of case or theirs, everyone else is torn between 'okay you are bananas' and 'actually, I knew this one guy in prison who said...', Garcia is left going 'You're legally dead. Twice. How do you even?', and then shenanigans~

I love the original CM but when I asked no one seemed to have good things to say about the spin off so I didn't download. I may give it a go while the rest of my shows are on a break.

I would so read this crossover. :D Haven't kept up with most of the eps because they come on around the time I really need to get to bed, but the ones I saw I liked, especially the non-official feel of the team. It would be interesting to see how things played out with them working with the Winchesters. I think Sam and Garcia would get along awesomely.
