Character Meme
Found a meme for RPG characters. It amused me, so here it is.
Okay, I actually did this a while ago but I found it again and decided to post it this time. There's spelling errors, but I'm a lazy ass.
Name 12 characters you have played in RPGs, before looking at the questions that follow. DMs, feel free to use long running or favourite NPCs too. List your characters numbered 1 to 12. Once you've picked your 12 characters, look at the questions and answer accordingly. No peeking until you've picked your characters!
1. Adnileg (NPC). Threem (home-brewed setting my group used for a while). She was a buisness woman that hired the party, and then proceeded to passively terrify them all the while explicitely keeping her word. She was a powerful caster, but only once busted out the big stuff. Had symbol of pain protecting her luggage.
2. Miranda (NPC). d20 Past (set in Victorian London, shadow-chasers model.) She was an NPC the party "saved" from a cult ritual, and proceeded to flirt with, manipulate, terrify, and entice the party over the course of our summer campaign until her eventual death in the final episdoe in which she turned into a world-eating demon. Threw a whooly mammoth tusk through a wall (and a vampire).
3. Agatha (PC). generic fantasy setting. She was a mystic theurge of Wee Jas, and eventually became a lich by the end of the campaign. She alternated between doom spells and buff spells, and gave out cold and cynical advice to the party. The main reason she traveled with them was that a greater evil needed to be stopped.
4. Mir (PC). generic fantasy setting. A changeling chameleon, Mir could be anyone she wanted to be, and ended up getting roped into a "save the world" quest. She eventually ran off when the party found a town that wasn't destroyed or being held by the enemy, stating that "heroic sacrifice really isn't my thing."
5. Zok'nar (PC). Threem. A half-orc dragon shaman that eventually multi-classed into barbarian after he accidentally killed a paladin while in a rage. He felt very bad about it and carried around the paladin's remains while looking for someone to ressurect him.
6. Ray Trask (PC). Threem. a human diviner that went from being a calm and collected wizard who vaguely worked for good to being crazy as a nut and trying to conquer the world due to one bad card from a Deck of Many Thigns. Also, had an upside down, underground, tower. Beneath the school he taught in.
7. Vic (Victor/Victoria) (PC). Threem. Vic was... complicated. Among other things (such as being able to possess walls, suits of armor, the ceiling, and people) her gender changed from day to day. Vic was sexual, powerful, dangerous, and in spite of this the party treated Vic like a puppy. She could easily crush them all (seriously, at one point she dropped the ceiling on a roomful of vampires, killing them all instantly under several ton of rocks and coffins) but for some reason stood for the abuse.
8. Gneech (PC). Threem. Gneech was a sychophant goblin psion that was easily the smartest member of the party. He also tortured his own speech to try to make himself appear significantly dumber then he was. It was a blast to play the evil little bugger, and I was very sad when a hell hound make a snack of the little blue guy.
9. "Peaches" (PC). Generic Fantasy Setting. "Peaches" was a bard that got renamed by the party while I was in the restroom because they thought it was funny. Before that campaign got abandoned (schedules conflicted too much to continue) he went from being the noisy bard that peppers the enemies with arrows from a distance to being the sexual barter for just about anything the party needed. Need the guards distracted so the party can talk to the mayor? Send the bard after 'em. Need a discount on fresh fruit? Send the bard after 'em. I blame the group.
10. Igor (PC). Cyberpunk. Igor was a medical doctor that didn't quite cross over to ripper-doc territory . But before the end of the first session he had a kill count that no one ever got close to competing with by virtue of an addictive and lethal drug he introduced to the world. He had the empathy of a stack of paperclips, and in one shower scene with a female PC she flirted with him and asked "Do you like what you see?" His dead-pan response? "My therapist says I should."
11. Amy (PC) Generic fantasy. Goodness, this is going back to highschool... Amy started off as an apprentice wizard gone bad, as in she got cursed during a wizard duel to be a cat. Fortunately, this was about the time she discovered her psionic talents. She tended to be pretty quiet (it took PP to talk) but she enjoyed riding her way into battle and blowing things up. The rest of the party, however, were very alarmed when their mascot started firing lightning from her eyes for the first time.
12. Sussurus (PC). Temple of Elemental Evil. Another grey elf cleric of Wee Jas. She was adventuring because she hit 200, realized she was still level 3, and bolted for the hills screaming "I can't get wrinkles before 17th level!" Her sister ended up joining her on her mid-life crisis (though her sister was somethng like 50 years younger) and they walked into the Temple of Elemental Evil, 3.0 version. She eventually had a nerovus breakdown when in the span of a few days her sister died, a town accused her of being a vampire, she got turned into a monkey, and ended up getting drunk out of her mind and molested by the local drunken monk. She started off cool and collected, and ended up being a bundle of misdirected rage.
1) Who would make a better college professor: 6 or 11?
Ray Trask (the university teacher diviner that went insane) or Amy (the cursed cat)? Well, if we're talking pre-deck of many things Ray is the obvious choice. After that... I think Amy would actually make the better choice.

Well, seeing as she was a LG (LN by the end, but mostly due to righteous rage) and he was LE... she probably first binds him with a Geas, and a Mark of Justice before sending him on some quest to go do good in the world. Or to go steal diamonds from evil people, because she needed to raise her sister and was a bit lacking in the diamond department. He gets eaten by a hell hound.
4) What is, or would be, 9's favorite book?
Peaches favorite book? While I would say a book of famous songs or poetry, the rest of the party would probably say the Kama Sutra. Damn party members.
5) Would it make more sense for 2 to swear fealty to 6, or the other way around?Miranda and Ray Trask? Um... for Ray to swear fealty to Miranda. And after he helps unleash her on the world, she would kill him. She was kinda a ***** like that.
6) For some reason, 5 is looking for a room-mate. Should she share a studio apartment with 9, or 10?
Zok'nar is looking for a roommate and needs to choose between Peaches and Igor? Peaches would get a kick out of someone that didn't understand adult relationships, and Igor would probably experiment on him. So I'm going to go with Peaches. Poor Zok'nar doesn't need to be a lab rat...
7) 2, 7, and 12 have dinner together. Where do they go, and what do they discuss?
Miranda, Vic, and Sussurus? I think it would become a ***** fest about the men in their lives and how they all were slowly (with varying degres of speed) towards evil. "I'm a woman trying to survive and got possessed by a demon." "My mentor turned me into a demon so I could possess things." "The town thinks I'm a vampire and my sister died." (all) "Men suck." They would probably be a sushi shop drinking sake. Though Miranda would ask for "fish and sticks" and whiskey. Being irish.
8) 3 challenges 10 to a duel. What happens?
Agatha versus Igor? Well he uses chemical warfare, and she's a lich. Agatha wins.
9) If 1 stole 8's most precious possession, how would they get it back?
If Adnileg stole Gneechs most prized possession? ... no, he wouldn't. He wouldn't. He would declare it his gift to her and run away. Seriously, I made her as an overpowered NPC incase the party decided to try and kill her and take mer money.
10) Suggest a title for a story in which 7 and 12 both attain what they most desire.
"Between a Rock and a Hard Place" The 'rock' being the diamonds Sussurus needs to bring back her sister, and the hard place being Vic dropping the roof on something.
11) What kind of plot device would you use if you wanted 4 and 1 to work together?
Adnileg needs something sneaky done and Mir is convenient. Hop to!
12) If 7 visited you for the weekend, how would you get along?
My SO says depending on which appliances/furniture/floors Vic was in at the time. I imagine it would be very... odd.
13) If you could command 3 to perform any one task or service for you, what would it be?
Um... some high level wizard/cleric spell. Or to stand far away and not touch me. I don't want to be paralyzed!
14) Does anyone of your friends or family resemble 11 either in appearance or personality?
The sentient cursed cat? ... no, not really.
15) If 2 had to choose sides between 4 (Midnight) and 5, which would it be?
Miranda would choose Zok'nar over Mir. Because last time someone made that choice and choose against Zok they became a pile of dust.
16) What might 10 shout while charging into battle?
... he wouldn't. He didn't shout, nor charge into battle. In fact, when the fighting he kinda stayed in the back. If anything, he would say "Go and make sure they stop moving, would you?" to the rest of the group.
17) If you chose a song to represent 8, which song would you choose?
"Blue" by Eiffel 65? Can't think of anything good for poor little Gneech.
18) 1, 6, and 12 are having dim sum at a Chinese restaurant. There is only one scallion pancake left, and they all reach for it at the same time. Who gets to eat it?
Hrm... scary powerful undead thing, fatespinner, or angry cleric. I have to with Ray here, actually. Adnileg was scary powerful, but he could disintegrate her and she couldn't make the fort save. And Sussurus wasn't really in their bracket.
19) What might be a good pick-up line for 2 to use on 10?
... Igor was an empathy-lacking doctor who only picked up on someone's attraction to him when she jumped into a shower naked with him. Miranda couldn't come up with a pick-up line good enough. And then she would feel all hurt and betrayed and try to destroy the world.
20) What would 5 most likely be arrested for?
Accidental Manslaughter. Wait, does killing undead paladins count?
21) What is 6's secret?
Ray's secret? Um... he has never known love? My SO says "no one knows, anyone who found out failed a fort save twice"
22) If 11 and 9 were racing to a destination, who would get there first?
Well, one was a cat, and the other was forced into sex-servitude with everything along the way. I think the cat wins.
23) If you had to walk home through a bad neighborhood late at night, would you feel safer in the company of 7 or 8?
So the incarnation of evil that could be anything it wanted, and the evil mastermind goblin that ended up masterminding his way into the jaws of a hellhound... Um, I'll go with the t-shirt that can beat people up. (Vic)
24) 1 and 9 reluctantly team up to save the world from the threat posed by 2's sinister secret organization. 11 volunteers to help them, but it is later discovered that she is actually a spy for 2. Meanwhile, 2 has kidnapped 12 in an attempt to force their surrender. Following the wise advice of 5 , they seek out 3, who gives them what they need to complete their quest. What do you name this story?
