Is this a version of English Issue?
So I've run across wan otherwise good writer who keeps using "envelope" in the place of "envelop" in her stories.
In American English "envelope" is who what you put letters in for mailing.
"Envelop" is what you do when you wrap somebody up in a hug or are surrounded by fog, etc.
Is this just a spelling difference thing?
EDITED: well, because I was stuffing people in envelopes... I apparently was thinking about horror fic.
