I've done these for characters before, but never entire fandoms. Google is an awesome place to gank meme's from. Sequence of fandoms brought to you by my random number generator. (So I wouldn't be tempted to cheat.)
Choose five series fandoms (no peeking before you choose them), list them, and then answer the questions behind the cut.
1. NCIS
2. The Sentinel
3. Charmed
4. Buffy
5. Supernatural
1. Which is your favorite series from your list? And why?
Er, tough one there, but I'd have to go with NCIS. It is the only fandom that I've ever converted anybody to, and it has depth. It's got honest to God character development. And yeah, some of the plot twists have gotten shoddy over the past couple of years, but it is still better than 90% of the crap out there. Mystery, crime drama, friendship: it has it peoples.
2. If you were to pair two characters from 1 and 4, who would they be?
Abby/Willow.
Abby is just enough of a nerd to really get Willow, and she wouldn't be freaked out by the witch stuff. And while she isn't the soft spoken type that Tara and Oz were, she is the same sort of gentle soul. As for Abby, well, she likes the computer geeks, and Willow knows her stuff in that area.
3. What is one thing you’d like to change about 3’s plot line?
The whole way that they wrote Cole out of the series.
You can't just spend all that time saying that possessed people aren't responsible and then choose to hate a guy because he, what? Got possessed by the first evil? And he's the love of you/your sister's life? Yeah, sure, pull the other one. It still doesn't make a drop of sense. he didn't choose it. He fought against it even, but they blame him for being possessed.
4. If both main characters of 2 and 5 were falling off a cliff, which one would you save?
Err, I was kind of hoping that Charmed or SPN wasn't going to fall into this question as there isn't really a main character in them. That's the problem with sibling based tv shows.
So assuming that Sam and Dean and poor Jim are all about to get cliffed, I'm going to have to save Jim.
It's pure defence really. If I save one of the Winchester boys, the one I save is just going to kill me for not choosing his brother. Or he's going to kills himself to bring his brother back from the dead. Not that their coming back from the dead won't happen anyway...
5. Which event was the most horrible for you in 1?
Ziva and her accusations towards Tony about his 'jealousy'. I haven't been that angry at a television show ever. It still makes me mad just thinking about the load of crap she dumped on him about his intentions towards her poor ickle homicidal boyfriend.
6. Which is your least favourite character of 2?
This is normally the time that i'd cite Rafe, but in all honesty I think that Cassie Wells really is the one who bugs me. And it isn't even because she was a blatant Blair substitute - right down to the curly hair and being held hostage on an airplane.
Seriously, how is she even still employed? Her antics are those of a tween.
7. If the antagonist of 3 were to rape the main character of 1, what would you do?
Erm, it kind of depends on which season of Charmed you're talking about there. Although, seems how I hooked Abby up with Willow earlier, I'd have Abby stopping by to see Gibbs while he's being attacked. Willow promptly banishes the evil SOB because she is way more powerful than the Charmed ones, sorry.
8. What song reminds you of 5?
Freaking "Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi. Ever since the end of season three where we were treated to proof that talented actors do not equal talented singers. (That and ''In-A-Godda-Davida" by Iron Butterfly, but in a totally awesome way because it imight just be the best use of a licensed song in a tv series that I've ever seen.)
9. Of 1, 3, and 5, which is the easiest to think about?
I'm not really sure what this question is supposed to mean. If you're talking cannon and timeline disagreements, I'd have to say that NCIS is generally the best at keep their ducks (no pun intended) in a row. Although, the whole Shannon relationship needs some smoothing in that area. And that boxing episode with Vance? I'm still completely clueless on.
Charmed is just a cluster - so I don't think about it.
SPN is a kind of interesting series to think about. It has some glaring plot holes in it, and I still get bugged as all get out when they pull the "The Bible got some details wrong" card, and then proceed to quote 'wrong' things that aren't even in the Bible. It irks me that they don't do their research.
So, I guess, NCIS?
10. Are the protagonists of 2 and 4 similar?
Well, they both have powers bestowed on them that they don't want, and they both have a bad habit of picking up romantic partners that are evil. But similar in personality? Not really. (Although, if memory serves, Buffy's spirit guide is a big cat, so I guess that makes them more similar .)
