We don't all love the same things, but we all love.

Today is one of those days when I find myself in awe of seemingly ordinary people I have been privileged enough to come to know, occasionally in the most unexpected of ways. And then I go on to wonder whether I can ever be like them in tenacity, in discipline and determination. And then I come to realise that we have all displayed such admirable qualities in some way at some point in time, each in our own different field of passion, sometimes in ways other people cannot understand (and likewise, sometimes we don't understand why others devote so much energy and passion and blood sweat and tears to other endeavours we choose not to engage in). At some point we have all wanted something so much that we fought for it, sacrificed things and time and energy for it, cried out for help (or maybe just cried) to achieve it. We have all been fighters, and we are all fighters in our own respective fields of talent and passion. This because we have all been wonderfully and carefully made in the light of glory, and this light that we each carry we use to illuminate others on occasion and inspire them, not dull their own light and discourage them by comparison. We all inspire one another, and on that note, it's time to remind myself to be inspired by others and not discouraged by them. And hopefully that becomes a reminder for you, too.
