Worthy is the lamb / seated on the throne

From the sixth hour until the ninth hour darkness came over all the land. About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?" - which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

- Matthew 27:45-46
And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split.

- Matthew 27:51
From time to time there will be these strange moments when some event, or some part of the scripture, or something, just speaks directly to you as you emerge from certain circumstances, and you can't help but marvel at how amazing the coincident relevance of such occurrences are. Good Friday service today was one of those moments. It's an extreme comfort to find your fully human lamentations not having been judged, rather sanctified, at the foot of this wooden structure of death. I can find peace in the knowledge that trials, and the doubt that worry and weakness that come with them, co-exist naturally with the path of growth. Now all I have to do is freely run to that well of strength, drink up, and continue running forward in faith.

It cannot be more rejuvenating or liberating than this.

introspective, praise the lord!
