As if the case of the 17-year old Chinese selling his kidney for an iPad wasn't weird enough...Jake Linford, a young professor at Florida State University Law School, advocates for scholarships for kidney donations. According to his plan, give a kidney and get a full scholarship. No loans or owing the banks with that proposal. (Source)
I don't get it. 1) What do scholarships have to do with organ donation? And 2) wouldn't this only incentivise people who want to go to school?

On another note, met up with 62 girls for dinner at Hatched today, and despite being not much of an egg person I thought dinner was nice and filling! (Okay fine so I had shepherd's pie...but hey even their non-egg dishes were good!) We also shared pancakes on top of our individual main courses, and the pancakes were awesomely fluffy + they were perfect with whipped cream, a dusting of icing sugar and maple syrup. Thereafter we strolled down to Island and chatted for a long while about lots of things - from uni to computers to social interactions. Sigh that was a great meet-up (:
