Tea from Starbucks.

City Hall was so crowded they had to have a special announcement to deter people from waiting in the station. It was much worse outside: the human jam was insane. Waited for people then went into Raffles City. Accompanied vodkalimey to get a camcorder tape for her PW stuff, then went for dinner. More people arrived while we waited at the food court. Then we walked and walked and walked to get a good spot to view fireworks (with much squeezing through the crowd along the way, of course). Well in the end the display was indeed short, but I guess it was worth the wait because those were the best fireworks I have ever seen so far! Star and heart shaped fireworks! And the last one that ended off very slowly and was so huge and really lit up the sky in a shower of lights bursting out! As vodkalimey describes it, truly magical. Kudos to the organising team this year (:

Oh and we missed the pledge-taking at 8.22 -_- Apparently Dad and sis at home heard the signal at 8.22 while we were there, supposedly nearer the floating platform and heard nothing?! Weird.

Waited for more fireworks. None came. WL and JL started belting out NDP songs (hidden musical talent). Some of us went to pick up rubbish (sounds weird but the place was well rather messy; WL's good idea), took class photo then went to pick up more rubbish. Then went inside. Then I can't remember what happened I think we walked around and went to the toilet and went in and out a few times (different people each time). Then some people went to to Starbucks and then we went outside to the grass patch with our drinks. JR realised that his drink didn't taste that great. Other people thought so too. It was some...tea, and that amused us quite a bit. In the end that drink became the forfeit for some game we played. I didn't find it too bad though it tasted like gingerbread (apparently there's ginger inside). Hopefully it has detox effects. Then went to the Esplanade. There were free music performances outside the Esplanade and they were pretty good. Went in, guys got distracted by some football match being screened, then went out again (okay I can't remember the order) and sat outside at another grass patch and played more games. Juicy stories from "truth or dare/truth/double truth" (I doubt we settled on anything) were pure rubbish -_-

3/4 LJ gang outing tomorrow to watch "Up"! Will practise Thermal with my lousy assessment book before that so that I don't feel guilty and will instead be well-prepared (: Drew grids on TD banner design for chalking. And apparently ION Orchard has a Rubi Shoes outlet I want to go see! I know there's one coming up somewhere along Citylink because I passed by it just now. Hopefully the prices are just as cheap as those in Cotton On /: I want tartan pumps! Saw someone in church wearing them today and they looked pretty! (And while we're on the topic of pumps my wonderful red-and-white-checked Rubi pumps were my patriotic shoes today! But they screwed up my colour coordination ): Oh well pretty pumps are pretty.)

And speaking of church, today's was enlightening. I've got a lot to be thankful for here.

EDIT: XIAO LOOK HERE THERE'S A SHOE NAMED AFTER YOU.
