more than anything, i am just very disappointed with the person(s) who stole my phone and did not return it. yes, i left it on the table, and i was so tired and pre-occupied i forgot to take it again. you knew it was mine, you knew that i was the one running around the whole arts house finding the performers, ensuring that everything was smooth-sailing, and still you took my phone. you had the audacity to take off with my phone instead of returning it to any of the sdea committee members/volunteers, knowing very well that it belongs to one of us. but i guess greed is always the factor why people don't return handphones. i was very distraught about it, you can ask your friends who were there helping me find the phone. i don't care that you're their friend(s), i know you are the person who stole it. and it's very disappointing that your friends are concerned about my lost phone, and you are the one who had the cheek to not return it. you even switched my phone off, after khai made frantic calls for over 45 minutes. the one call you answered and rejected, had the same audio as our location, then you panicked and switched off my phone. was your guilt ringing so hard in your ears that you had to switch my phone off? i'm very disgusted because i was working so hard for 3 days in a row, even though i had cramps and a sore throat by the second day. i was the one in charge of the roving performances AND at the last-minute, the open mike. it's safe to say that they were my babies, and i worked my ass off to make sure everyone had a good time. and you re-pay my hard work by being a dishonest thief. as james says, i hope you lose your phone and you hope and pray that the person who finds it would return it to you, so you know how horrible this feels.
i'd like to thank all the open mic performers, like oniatta, who kept making the announcements for the person to return my phone, james, peggy, ashraff and his friends for texting the person to return my phone, khai for making calls and for being my human sponge as i sprouted hysterical tears for an hour. most of all, thank you to noorlinah who actually bought me a new handphone to replace my lost one.
i'm still recovering from the 3 days of lack of sleep. bleagh.
